2 The ^akings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
^bAgainst the Lord and against His ^{▼▼ Or Messiah
,} ^dAnointed, saying,
3 “Let us ^etear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”

4 He who ^{▼▼ Or is enthroned}sits in the heavens ^glaughs,
The Lord ^hscoffs at them.
